Unlocking Healing & Growth: Child-Centered Play Therapy - Mankato

This workshop will provide clinicians with a strong foundation in Child-Centered Play Therapy, ensuring they are equipped to conduct effective, client-led play therapy sessions that promote healing and emotional growth.

Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT) is a theoretical approach to play therapy that allows children to lead their play while being able to explore the therapeutic playroom to get their needs met by a counselor attending and responding to their play.  This training provides an in-depth understanding of CCPT, including theoretical roots, advanced play therapy skills including limit setting and returning responsibility, and case application. This training provides an introduction that can help ensure that all the participants are able to complete CCPT sessions with their clients after completion of this workshop.
