9/22/23 - Play Therapy Basics: Foundations & Skills in Mankato, MN
Are you interested in the world of play therapy? This 8-hour workshop provides a foundational understanding of effective ways for building a therapeutic relationship with children in play therapy. We'll spend the day discussing, playing, and practicing play therapy skills and techniques. We'll cover the process for becoming a Registered Play Therapist, learn and practice essential non-directive play therapy skills - including tracking, reflecting feelings, and setting limits, and strategies for building therapeutic relationships with children through play. Participants will gain an introductory understanding of the healing powers of play therapy and gain knowledge and skills that can be immediately put into practice.
Participation in this workshop provides 8.0 education hours applicable to Phase 1 of those working towards their RPT or SB-RPT credential.
